The CarboAir 50 315 660 features an industrial galvanised steel filter casing. CarboAir use the highest quality materials that enable them to produce the finest mesh.
The filter mesh is a whopping 55.5% open for the best air flow through the filter. CarboAir filters have better flow rates, enabling them to utilise a thicker carbon bed compared to the competition this ensures a higher contact time and longer path through the filter resulting in increased odour removal performance. The selected filter mesh means they don’t need to use an internal nylon mesh that slows air flow, like other manufacturers use.
Virgin Activated Granular Carbon
The carbon used has been tailor-made for CarboAir to extract odours from the air and work in unison with the fine zinc mesh body. The virgin carbon is activated at temperatures above 1000°C in a humid environment. This process opens the pores of the carbon to give it incredibly high absorption properties of organic particles and other airborne pollutants. The carbon is produced to a very high standard in Europe, unlike Chinese filters which often contain cheaper blends and risk water contamination during shipping.
Being manufactured in the EU enables higher quality control. The carbon is produced to EN12915 which means it is pure enough to be used within food and drink applications. The size and depth of CarboAir filters have been specially designed to provide the correct contact between the contaminated air and carbon.
