Sensor Care & Longevity

• Stay Dry & Clean: To prevent premature failure, the MBS-PAR must remain dry. Avoid spraying foliar feeds or pesticides near the sensor, and ensure it is positioned away from misting systems or humidifiers.

• No Condensation: Monitor your environment to ensure water does not condense on the sensor lens, as this will refract light and lead to false, lower PPFD readings.

• Cleaning the Lens: If dust accumulates, gently clean the sensor's top surface with a dry, lint-free microfiber cloth. Do not use abrasive chemicals or rough materials.

Optimizing Your Light Map

• Placement is Key: Mount the MBS-PAR at the average canopy height and directly under a light fixture for a "worst-case" intensity reading, or at the edge of the footprint to find your minimum light levels.

• Avoid Shadows: Ensure that tent poles, hanging wires, or tall fan leaves do not cast shadows over the sensor, as this will trigger the Auto-Dimming feature to ramp up your lights unnecessarily.
