Step-by-Step User Guide
Follow this guide to safely apply the gel and maximise your cloning success.
Step 1: Preparation
  • Shake the bottle well before use to ensure a uniform consistency.
  • Pour a small amount of the gel into a clean, sterile shot glass or separate small container.
  • Important: Never dip cuttings directly into the main bottle to prevent cross-contamination of your remaining stock.
Step 2: Taking the Cutting
  • Use a clean, sterile propagation scalpel to take a 10–15 cm cutting from a healthy mother plant.
  • Make a clean, sharp diagonal slice at a 45-degree angle just beneath a leaf node.
  • Carefully trim away any large lower leaves to reduce water loss through transpiration.
Step 3: Application
  • Immediately dip the bottom 1 to 2 cm of the cut stem directly into the decanted gel.
  • Swirl the stem gently to ensure the entire cut surface and the lowest node are completely coated in a thick layer.
Step 4: Sticking the Cutting
  • Insert the coated stem straight into a pre-hydrated rooting plug or propagation block.
  • Ensure the gel layer remains on the stem and is not completely scraped away by a tight hole.
  • Gently firm the top of the plug around the stem to lock out air gaps.
Step 5: Post-Use Clean Up
  • Discard any leftover gel remaining in your dipping container; do not pour it back into the main bottle.
  • Snap the flip-top lid shut tightly and store the bottle in a cool, dark cupboard out of reach of children and pets.
