BioBizz All Mix 90L – Pre-Fertilised Organic Growing Substrate

BioBizz All Mix 90L is a heavily pre-fertilised organic growing substrate designed to create a rich, biologically active root-zone environment from the start. The new 90 litre extra-large bag provides the proven BioBizz All·Mix® growing medium in a larger format for growers filling multiple pots or larger containers.

Designed to emulate the characteristics of rich outdoor soil, BioBizz All Mix combines organic ingredients with Pre·Mix™ to create an active growing medium containing sufficient initial nutrition to support established plants during their first weeks of growth.

Unlike lightly fertilised substrates where additional nutrition may be introduced relatively early, All Mix provides a nutrient-rich starting point and is designed to reduce the need for additional fertiliser during the initial establishment period.

Why Choose BioBizz All Mix 90L?

  • New extra-large 90 litre format – ideal for larger containers and higher-volume growing.
  • Heavily pre-fertilised organic substrate designed to provide substantial initial nutrition.
  • Designed to emulate the characteristics of rich, fertile outdoor soil.
  • Contains BioBizz Pre·Mix™ organic fertiliser.
  • Supports an active microbial environment within the growing medium.
  • Provides enough initial nutrition to support plant growth for the first few weeks.
  • Reduces the need to introduce additional fertiliser immediately after planting.
  • Suitable for established plants with greater nutritional requirements.
  • Suitable for indoor and outdoor horticulture.
  • Designed for use throughout vegetative growth and flowering.

A Rich, Biologically Active Growing Medium

BioBizz All Mix is designed to reproduce many of the characteristics associated with naturally rich outdoor soil. Rather than functioning simply as a physical support for roots, the substrate provides an active environment containing organic nutrition and beneficial microbial activity.

When correctly prepared and maintained, the microorganisms within the substrate help create a biologically active root zone where organic components can interact with water, air and plant roots.

This makes All Mix particularly suitable for growers who want to begin with a nutrient-rich organic growing medium rather than managing a lightly fertilised substrate from the start.

Heavily Pre-Fertilised for Strong Initial Nutrition

One of the defining characteristics of BioBizz All Mix is its substantial initial nutrient charge.

BioBizz designed All Mix to contain enough nutrient availability to support established plants for approximately the first few weeks without immediately requiring additional fertiliser.

This differs significantly from BioBizz Light Mix, which contains a much lighter initial nutrient charge and is intended for growers who want greater control over feeding from an earlier stage.

BioBizz Pre·Mix™ Organic Fertiliser

All Mix contains BioBizz Pre·Mix™, an organic dry fertiliser blend designed to support biological activity and nutrient availability within the growing medium.

Before using All Mix for the first time, BioBizz recommends activating the substrate with water. This gives the Pre·Mix and microorganisms within the substrate time to become active before planting.

How to Prepare BioBizz All Mix Before Planting

BioBizz recommends preparing All Mix approximately 36 hours before planting.

  1. Place the required amount of BioBizz All Mix into the intended containers.
  2. Moisten the substrate evenly with water.
  3. Avoid completely saturating or waterlogging the growing medium.
  4. Leave the moistened All Mix to stand for approximately 36 hours.
  5. Keep the substrate in a suitably warm environment during this activation period.
  6. After approximately 36 hours, the prepared substrate is ready for planting.

This preparation period allows the Pre·Mix and microorganisms within the substrate to begin becoming biologically active before roots are introduced.

Maintain a Suitable Root-Zone Temperature

Temperature plays an important role in maintaining biological activity within an organic substrate.

BioBizz recommends keeping All Mix slightly warm because excessively cool substrate conditions can slow microbial activity. Maintaining a suitable root-zone environment helps support the biological processes taking place within the growing medium.

Allow the Substrate to Breathe

Correct irrigation management is particularly important when using BioBizz All Mix.

BioBizz recommends allowing the substrate to dry appropriately between watering events rather than keeping it continuously saturated. As excess moisture leaves the growing medium, fresh air is drawn back into the substrate, helping maintain oxygen around the root zone.

A healthy wet-and-dry cycle therefore supports both root-zone aeration and the biological activity within the growing medium.

Watering BioBizz All Mix

  • Water evenly throughout the root zone.
  • Ensure containers provide adequate drainage.
  • Avoid keeping the substrate permanently saturated.
  • Allow appropriate drying between irrigation events.
  • Adjust watering frequency according to plant size, container volume and environmental conditions.
  • Remember that larger containers may retain moisture for longer than smaller pots.

When Should Additional Fertiliser Be Introduced?

Because BioBizz All Mix is heavily pre-fertilised, additional plant nutrition is generally not required immediately after planting established plants into fresh substrate.

BioBizz states that All Mix contains sufficient initial nutrition to sustain plant growth for approximately the first few weeks.

After this initial period, additional fertiliser can be introduced according to plant development, appearance, environmental conditions and the selected BioBizz feeding programme.

Avoid automatically applying a full-strength feeding programme immediately after transplanting into fresh All Mix, as the substrate already contains a substantial initial nutrient charge.

BioBizz All Mix vs Light Mix

Feature BioBizz All Mix BioBizz Light Mix
Initial Nutrition Heavily pre-fertilised Lightly fertilised
Feeding Control Initial nutrition supplied by substrate Greater control over feeding from an early stage
Young Seedlings Rich nutrient level may be unsuitable for particularly sensitive seedlings Better suited to seedlings and young plants
Established Plants Excellent choice Excellent with an appropriate feeding programme
Initial Additional Fertiliser Normally unnecessary during the first few weeks Can be introduced according to plant requirements

Who Should Choose BioBizz All Mix?

BioBizz All Mix is particularly well suited to growers looking for a rich organic substrate with substantial nutrition already incorporated into the growing medium.

Choose All Mix when the priority is:

  • A nutrient-rich organic starting substrate.
  • Reduced requirement for additional fertiliser immediately after planting.
  • An active organic root-zone environment.
  • A growing medium suitable for established plants.
  • A substrate suitable for continued use throughout vegetative growth and flowering.

Growers starting particularly sensitive seedlings, fresh cuttings or plants requiring precise control over early nutrition may prefer BioBizz Light Mix.

New 90 Litre Extra-Large Format

The new BioBizz All Mix 90L provides significantly more growing substrate per bag than the established 50 litre format, making it particularly convenient for multiple containers, larger pots and higher-volume horticultural applications.

A 90 litre bag provides approximately:

  • 9 x 10 litre pots
  • 6 x 15 litre pots
  • 4 x 20 litre pots with approximately 10 litres remaining
  • 3 x 25 litre pots with approximately 15 litres remaining
  • 3 x 30 litre pots

Actual requirements will vary according to pot design, filling level, root-ball displacement and natural settlement of the substrate.
