Hailea V-Series Air Pumps provide reliable, oil-free airflow for hydroponic nutrient reservoirs, ponds, aquariums and other water-aeration systems. The range uses diaphragm technology, a robust aluminium-alloy casing and a double-damping design to reduce operating vibration and noise.

SteelRoots stocks the Hailea V10, V20 and V30 models, providing outputs from 10 to 30 litres per minute. Each pump is supplied with a multi-outlet manifold, allowing one pump to operate several airlines and air stones.

Which Hailea Air Pump Should Be Selected?

• Hailea V10: suitable for smaller reservoirs or systems requiring up to four airlines.
• Hailea V20: provides twice the airflow of the V10 for larger reservoirs, deeper water or multiple air stones.
• Hailea V30: the highest-output option in this listing, with a six-way manifold for larger or multi-container systems.

The correct model depends on reservoir volume, water depth, airline length, air-stone resistance and the number of outlets being used. Dividing the airflow between several outlets reduces the air delivered through each individual airline.

Hydroponic Reservoir Aeration

Connecting the pump to suitable air stones helps move water and maintain dissolved oxygen within a hydroponic nutrient reservoir. Good circulation also helps reduce stagnant areas and supports more even distribution throughout the tank.

The pump should be positioned above the reservoir’s maximum water level. If it must be installed below the waterline, a non-return valve should be fitted to every airline to prevent water siphoning back towards the pump during a power cut.

Multi-Outlet Manifold

Each model has one main pump outlet and is supplied with a manifold that divides the airflow between several standard airlines. Individual manifold taps can be used to balance airflow between connected air stones.

Unused manifold outlets should be closed rather than left open. At least one outlet must remain open whenever the pump is running, as completely restricting the airflow can increase pressure, noise and diaphragm wear.

Installation Guidance

1. Place the air pump on a stable, level and dry surface.
2. Keep the pump above the maximum water level wherever possible.
3. Connect the supplied manifold securely to the main pump outlet.
4. Attach suitable airline and air stones to the required manifold outlets.
5. Close any unused outlets using the manifold controls.
6. Form drip loops in electrical cables and keep the plug away from water.
7. Check that airflow is reaching every connected air stone before leaving the system unattended.

Care and Maintenance

Keep the air intake clear of dust and provide adequate ventilation around the pump. Air stones, airlines and non-return valves should be inspected regularly because mineral deposits and blockages can increase operating pressure.

Diaphragms are service components and may require replacement after extended use. The pump must be disconnected from the electrical supply before inspection or maintenance.
