CANNA Start is a complete one-part mineral nutrient developed for seedlings and rooted cuttings during the early propagation stage. Its balanced formulation supplies young plants with essential macro- and micronutrients without requiring separate A and B concentrates.

Young plants have different nutritional requirements from established plants. Using a standard vegetative nutrient at reduced strength can leave the solution short of important trace elements, while applying it too strongly may cause overfeeding. CANNA Start provides a straightforward feeding option formulated specifically for this sensitive stage.

Suitable Growing Media

CANNA Start can be used with many propagation media, including:

CANNA Start is not recommended for recirculating hydroponic systems or aeroponic propagators. Growers using these systems should select a nutrient specifically intended for recirculating applications.

How to Use CANNA Start

1. Shake the bottle thoroughly before use.
2. Add 40 mL of CANNA Start to every 10 litres of water, equivalent to 4 mL per litre.
3. Mix the solution thoroughly before application.
4. Use with seedlings or cuttings that have developed roots.
5. Move to the appropriate CANNA base nutrient once the plants are established and ready to enter active vegetative growth.

Using CANNA Start with CANNA RHIZOTONIC
