CANNA PK 13/14 – Concentrated Phosphorus & Potassium Flowering Additive.
CANNA PK 13/14 is a concentrated mineral flowering additive containing phosphorus and potassium for use during a specific stage of flower and fruit development. Developed by CANNA, it supplements a complete flowering base nutrient when the plant's requirement for phosphorus and potassium increases.
Unlike additives designed for continuous use, CANNA PK 13/14 is applied for a short, defined period. CANNA recommends adding 15 mL per 10 litres of nutrient solution for 3–6 days, approximately three weeks before harvest.
PK 13/14 can be used across soil, coco and hydroponic growing systems, including both recirculating and run-to-waste irrigation. It is also designed to complement CANNABOOST Accelerator within the appropriate CANNA feeding programme.
Key Features & Benefits
- Concentrated PK additive: Provides additional phosphorus and potassium during a defined period of the flowering and fruiting stage.
- PK 13/14 formulation: Contains 13% phosphorus pentoxide (P₂O₅) and 14% potassium oxide (K₂O).
- Simple application rate: Use 15 mL per 10 litres of nutrient solution, equivalent to 1.5 mL per litre.
- Short application period: CANNA recommends applying PK 13/14 for 3–6 days rather than continuously throughout flowering.
- Suitable for multiple growing media: Can be incorporated into soil, coco and hydroponic nutrient programmes.
- Suitable for different irrigation methods: Compatible with both recirculating and run-to-waste growing systems.
- Complements CANNABOOST: CANNA recommends combining PK 13/14 with CANNABOOST as part of the appropriate flowering programme.
What Does PK 13/14 Mean?
The name describes the product's phosphorus and potassium analysis. CANNA PK 13/14 contains 13% phosphorus pentoxide (P₂O₅) and 14% potassium oxide (K₂O).
These two macronutrients perform different functions within plant development. Phosphorus is involved in processes including energy transfer and metabolism, while potassium contributes to numerous plant processes, including the production and movement of sugars.
PK 13/14 is designed to supplement rather than replace the phosphorus and potassium already present in a complete flowering base nutrient.
CANNA PK 13/14 Dosage
The manufacturer's application rate is 15 mL per 10 litres of nutrient solution, equivalent to 1.5 mL per litre or a dilution of approximately 1:666.
Nutrient Solution Volume CANNA PK 13/14 1 litre 1.5 mL 10 litres 15 mL 25 litres 37.5 mL 50 litres 75 mL 100 litres 150 mL When to Use CANNA PK 13/14
CANNA recommends adding PK 13/14 approximately three weeks before harvest, when flowers or fruits are sufficiently developed to require additional phosphorus and potassium.
Add PK 13/14 to the normal complete nutrient solution at 15 mL per 10 litres and continue the application for 3–6 days.
PK 13/14 is not intended to be used continuously throughout the entire flowering stage. CANNA recommends one short application period as part of its feeding programme.
How to Use CANNA PK 13/14
- Shake the bottle thoroughly before use.
- Prepare the normal flowering nutrient solution for the chosen growing medium and system.
- Add CANNA PK 13/14 at 15 mL per 10 litres of nutrient solution.
- Mix the reservoir thoroughly.
- Use for 3–6 days at the appropriate stage of the flowering or fruiting cycle.
- After the application period, return to the normal feeding programme without PK 13/14.
- Continue to monitor the final EC and pH according to the nutrient programme and growing system being used.
Using CANNA PK 13/14 with CANNABOOST
CANNA PK 13/14 and CANNABOOST perform different roles. PK 13/14 supplies additional phosphorus and potassium for a short, defined period, while CANNABOOST is a flowering-stage booster used according to the relevant CANNA feeding programme.
CANNA specifically recommends using PK 13/14 in combination with CANNABOOST. The two products should not be treated as substitutes for one another, and neither replaces the appropriate complete base nutrient.
Suitable Growing Media & Systems
CANNA PK 13/14 is suitable for a wide range of horticultural growing methods, including:
- Coco coir
- Peat and soil-based growing media
- Rockwool
- Clay pebbles
- Recirculating hydroponic systems
- Run-to-waste hydroponic systems
- Indoor and outdoor horticultural applications
This allows PK 13/14 to be incorporated into the appropriate CANNA COCO, TERRA, AQUA and HYDRO nutrient programmes.
Available Sizes
CANNA PK 13/14 is available in 250 mL, 1 litre and 5 litre sizes.
