CANNA Aqua Vega A&B Nutrient for Recirculating Hydroponic Systems

CANNA Aqua Vega A&B is a two-part mineral base nutrient developed for the vegetative growth stage in recirculating hydroponic systems. It supplies the essential macro- and micronutrients required to support healthy shoots, foliage and root development before plants move into the flowering stage.

The formula is designed for systems where the nutrient solution drains back into a reservoir and is reused. Suitable applications include NFT, deep-water culture, flood-and-drain systems and recirculating systems using clay pebbles.

CANNA Aqua Vega is supplied as equal A and B components. Separating the concentrated minerals prevents certain ingredients from reacting with one another inside the bottle and forming insoluble compounds.

Suitable Hydroponic Systems

CANNA Aqua Vega is intended for closed or recirculating hydroponic systems in which drainage is collected and returned to the nutrient reservoir. Suitable systems include:

• Nutrient film technique systems
• Deep-water culture systems
• Flood-and-drain systems
• Recirculating drip irrigation
• Hydroponic systems using clay pebbles

For drain-to-waste hydroponic systems, CANNA HYDRO Vega is the more appropriate CANNA base nutrient.

Mixing Instructions

1. Shake both bottles thoroughly before use.
2. Fill the nutrient reservoir with water.
3. Add CANNA Aqua Vega A at up to 20 mL per 10 litres of water and mix thoroughly.
4. Add an equal quantity of CANNA Aqua Vega B and mix thoroughly again.
5. Allow the nutrient solution to stand before checking and adjusting its EC and pH where necessary.

Never mix Aqua Vega A and Aqua Vega B together while undiluted. Each component must be added separately to the reservoir water and mixed thoroughly before the next component is introduced.

The correct strength can vary according to plant variety, growth stage, environmental conditions and the starting EC of the water. Begin with an appropriate strength for the crop and confirm the final nutrient concentration with a calibrated EC meter.

Recommended pH and EC

• Recommended pH range: 5.2–6.2
• Indicative EC: follow the current CANNA AQUA feed schedule and account for the starting EC of the source water

Regularly monitor the reservoir because plants can absorb water and individual nutrients at different rates. Check the solution level, EC and pH and refresh the reservoir according to the system requirements and CANNA feeding schedule.

When to Use CANNA Aqua Vega

Use Aqua Vega during vegetative growth in a recirculating hydroponic system. Change to CANNA Aqua Flores when the crop enters its flowering or fruiting programme, following the current CANNA AQUA grow schedule.

• 5 litre A + 5 litre B
• 10 litre A + 10 litre B

Each option is a complete matched set containing equal quantities of Aqua Vega A and Aqua Vega B. For example, the 5 litre set contains one 5 litre bottle of Part A and one 5 litre bottle of Part B.

Important Information

• Use both parts in equal quantities.
