CANNA Aqua Flores A&B is a concentrated two-part mineral nutrient developed specifically for the flowering and fruiting stage of plants grown in recirculating hydroponic systems. It forms the flowering-stage base nutrient within the CANNA AQUA feeding programme and is used after CANNA Aqua Vega once flowering begins.

Unlike run-to-waste hydroponic nutrients, Aqua Flores is formulated for closed systems where the nutrient solution drains back into the reservoir and is reused. It is suitable for systems such as NFT, deep-water culture, bubbler and recirculating flood-and-drain systems.

The flowering formulation provides a different nutrient balance from Aqua Vega, with reduced nitrogen requirements and increased availability of phosphorus and potassium to suit the changing nutritional requirements of flowering and fruiting plants.

Why Is CANNA Aqua Flores Supplied as A & B?

CANNA Aqua Flores is one complete nutrient supplied as two concentrated components. Certain mineral elements can react with each other when stored together at high concentrations, potentially forming insoluble compounds.

Keeping Aqua Flores A and B separate allows CANNA to maintain the required concentration while keeping the components stable. Both parts are therefore required and should always be used in equal quantities.

Never mix undiluted Aqua Flores A and Aqua Flores B directly together. Always dilute part A thoroughly into the reservoir water before adding part B.

CANNA Aqua Flores Mixing Rate

CANNA's standard Aqua Flores dilution is 1:333, equivalent to 3 mL of Aqua Flores A and 3 mL of Aqua Flores B per litre of water.

Actual nutrient requirements can vary according to plant type, growth stage, water quality, environmental conditions and starting EC. Monitor the nutrient solution regularly and follow the current CANNA AQUA feeding schedule where appropriate.

How to Use CANNA Aqua Flores A&B

1. Shake both bottles thoroughly before use.
2. Fill the nutrient reservoir with water.
3. Add 30 mL of Aqua Flores A per 10 litres of water.
4. Mix the reservoir thoroughly.
5. Add 30 mL of Aqua Flores B per 10 litres of water.
6. Mix thoroughly again and allow the solution to stand.
7. Measure the EC and pH of the completed nutrient solution.
8. Renew the nutrient solution regularly.

When to Switch from Aqua Vega to Aqua Flores

CANNA Aqua Vega is used during vegetative growth. Switch to Aqua Flores when flowers begin to form and continue using Aqua Flores as the base nutrient throughout the flowering and fruiting stage according to the appropriate CANNA AQUA feeding programme.

This stage-specific approach allows the base nutrient composition to change alongside the nutritional requirements of the plant.

CANNA AQUA or CANNA HYDRO?

Use CANNA AQUA for recirculating systems. If the irrigation solution passes through the root zone once and is then discarded, CANNA recommends its HYDRO range instead.

Selecting the correct nutrient range for the irrigation method is important because CANNA AQUA and CANNA HYDRO are formulated for different methods of nutrient management.
