AutoPot AQUAvalve 3 and AQUAvalve5 replacement valves

Choose the AutoPot AQUAvalve that matches the pipework in a compatible gravity-fed watering system. The older AQUAvalve 3 connects to AutoPot 6mm pipe and fittings; AQUAvalve5 connects to AutoPot 9mm pipe and fittings. Each valve controls the supply of water or nutrient solution from a reservoir to a watering tray without a pump, timer or electrical connection.

Choose the correct version

• AQUAvalve 3 – 6mm: For older AutoPot systems using 6mm supply pipe and fittings. 
• AQUAvalve5 – 9mm: For AutoPot systems using 9mm supply pipe and fittings. This version has a 5mm inlet. 

How the valve works

Connected to a suitable reservoir, the AQUAvalve uses gravity to fill its tray to approximately 20mm depth and then closes. As plants use the available solution, the valve opens again to repeat the cycle. It is suitable for maintaining an existing AutoPot setup or replacing a matching valve.

Check tray compatibility when upgrading

Changing from AQUAvalve 3 to AQUAvalve5 also requires suitable 9mm pipework and fittings. AutoPot advises that original-design grooved 1Pot, XL and XL FlexiPot trays are not suitable for AQUAvalve5. Newer versions supplied with a 9mm top-hat grommet are suitable. Existing easy2grow trays can accommodate AQUAvalve5, while some older tanks and tray systems need their pipe entry and fittings adapted. Check the specific tray and reservoir before ordering upgrade parts.
