Aether 120W Under Canopy LED Lights are purpose-designed supplemental LED fixtures for positioning beneath or around dense plant canopies. Supplied as a boxed pair of two 120W LED fixtures, the system delivers targeted light into areas that receive less illumination from the primary overhead grow light.

Each Aether fixture combines a low-profile design with a wide 120° beam angle, 0–10V dimming and an IP66-rated housing. Multiple fixtures can also be linked together, making the Aether system suitable for anything from a small supplementary lighting installation to larger indoor horticultural environments.

Why Use Under-Canopy LED Lighting?

As plant canopies become denser, foliage can restrict the amount of light reaching lower areas. Increasing the intensity of an overhead fixture does not necessarily provide even light distribution throughout the complete canopy.

Under-canopy lighting approaches the problem from a different direction. By positioning dedicated LED fixtures beneath the canopy, supplemental light can be delivered directly into areas that would otherwise receive considerably less illumination.

The Aether R8W supports 0–10V dimming, allowing output to be adjusted rather than requiring every fixture to operate continuously at maximum intensity.

This provides greater flexibility when integrating under-canopy lighting into an existing lighting strategy. Aether identifies TrolMaster and Vivosun as suitable controller platforms for the 120W under-canopy system.

Expandable Daisy-Chain Installation

Aether 120W fixtures are designed for expandable installations. Up to 15 fixtures can be daisy-chained, reducing the need for an individual mains connection for every light and helping to create a cleaner installation across larger growing areas.

Suitable Aether link cables, mounting brackets and control equipment can be used to configure the installation around the available space.

IP66 Protection

Under-canopy fixtures operate close to irrigation equipment, growing media and humid plant environments. The Aether R8W carries an IP66 rating, providing protection against dust ingress and powerful water jets.

Installation & Positioning

The slim Aether fixture measures approximately 115.8 cm long, 7.4 cm wide and 8.4 cm high, allowing it to fit into spaces where a conventional overhead LED fixture would be impractical.

Position the fixtures to supplement the primary lighting system rather than creating excessive intensity in a concentrated area. The 0–10V dimming capability can then be used with a compatible controller to adjust output to suit the installation.
