See What Is Happening in the Root Zone
Take the guesswork out of irrigation and root-zone management with the Spider Farmer GGS 3-in-1 Soil Sensor Pro 3-Pack, designed to give growers real-time insight into conditions inside their growing media.
Each probe simultaneously monitors volumetric water content, electrical conductivity and substrate temperature. This makes it easier to track moisture levels, understand dry-back patterns and monitor changes in nutrient concentration around the roots.
Connect the sensors to a compatible Spider Farmer GGS system to view soil data through the Spider Farmer app. Up to six Soil Sensor Pro probes can be connected to one GGS system, making it possible to monitor multiple plants or different areas of a growing environment.
FAQs
What does the Spider Farmer 3-in-1 Soil Sensor Pro measure?
Each sensor measures three important root-zone conditions: volumetric water content or VWC, electrical conductivity or EC, and substrate temperature.
Does the Spider Farmer GGS Soil Sensor Pro measure pH?
No. The current Spider Farmer 3-in-1 Soil Sensor Pro measures moisture, EC and temperature. It does not measure substrate pH.
How many Soil Sensor Pro probes are included?
This pack contains three Spider Farmer GGS 3-in-1 Soil Sensor Pro probes, allowing growers to monitor several plants or different areas within a growing space.
Can I view the soil sensor readings on my phone?
Yes. When connected through a compatible Spider Farmer GGS Controller, soil data can be monitored through the Spider Farmer app.
How many Soil Sensor Pro probes can connect to one GGS system?
Spider Farmer states that one GGS system can support up to six Soil Sensor Pro probes, providing the option to expand monitoring across a larger grow.
Where should I position the Spider Farmer Soil Sensor Pro?
For accurate readings, Spider Farmer recommends inserting the probe horizontally into the growing medium at approximately one-third of the container's height, positioning it close to the plant's root zone.
