The ROOT!T Large Value Propagator Tray & Lid Kit is a purpose-built, unheated cloning and seed starting system engineered to maintain the ideal high-humidity microclimate required for successful plant propagation. Consisting of a robust, heavy-duty bottom tray and a matching crystal-clear humi-dome lid, this large-format kit delivers exceptional environmental control for raising delicate seedlings or striking fresh cuttings.
The crystal-clear lid maximises light penetration from overhead grow lamps or natural sunlight while keeping moisture locked inside to prevent delicate foliage from wilting. It features adjustable dual-vent sliders, allowing home growers to fine-tune internal humidity levels and manage vital fresh air exchange as roots develop. The heavy-duty bottom tray is entirely watertight to protect your growing area from spills, and it is specially sized to accommodate a wide variety of propagation media, including 24-cell or 60-cell rooting trays, coco coir plugs, or rockwool blocks.
Product Features
  • Dual Adjustable Air Vents: Features two rotatable dial vents on the lid to effortlessly control internal humidity levels and fresh air circulation.
  • Maximum Light Transmission: The high-clarity, UV-stabilised humi-dome ensures your young plants receive full-spectrum light without sacrificing moisture retention.
  • Heavy-Duty Construction: Moulded from shatter-resistant, robust plastics designed to endure multiple growing seasons without cracking or warping.
  • Optimised Moisture Management: The deep bottom tray prevents waterlogging by safely containing run-off, maintaining a healthy root zone environment.

Step-by-Step User Guide
Follow this guide to set up your propagator and manage humidity levels for maximum rooting success.
Step 1: Initial Setup
  • Wipe the inside of the bottom tray and clear lid with a damp cloth to remove any transit dust.
  • Place your pre-hydrated plugs, rockwool blocks, or filled cell trays flat into the bottom tray.
  • Ensure there is no standing water pooling over the top of your rooting plugs.
Step 2: Sowing & Siting
  • Insert your freshly prepared cuttings or newly sown seeds into the growing medium.
  • Place the clear lid firmly onto the bottom tray, ensuring it sits flush within the rim to trap moisture.
  • Move the propagator into a warm, bright position out of direct summer sun, or place it beneath a dedicated LED grow light.
Step 3: Closed-Vent Phase (Days 1 to 3)
  • Fully close both top vent sliders to trap maximum humidity (aim for 90% or higher).
  • This extreme humidity prevents fresh cuttings from drying out while they lack roots to drink water.
  • Lift the lid once a day for 30 seconds to wipe away excess condensation and refresh the internal air.
Step 4: Hardening Off Phase (Days 4 to 10)
  • Open both vents slightly (about a quarter open) to allow a small amount of fresh air in and lower the humidity.
  • Check your growing plugs daily; add water to the base of the tray if the plugs begin to feel light or dry.
  • Gradually open the vents wider over the next few days to get the young plants used to normal room air.
Step 5: Rooting & Removal
  • Once you see visible roots breaking through the sides of the plugs, open the vents completely.
  • Remove the lid entirely for a few hours at a time to check if the plants wilt.
  • If they remain upright without the lid, they are fully acclimatised and ready to be transplanted.
