Athena Pro Mix Kit 2.5 Gallon is the larger professional version of Athena's Pro Line concentrate mixing system. Designed for growers who require greater nutrient volumes and a streamlined fertigation workflow, the kit contains Pro Core, Pro Grow and Pro Bloom dry mineral fertilisers together with dedicated 2.5 US gallon mixing bottles, dispensing spigots, identification stickers and operating guides.

Each nutrient component is supplied as a 5 lb / approximately 2.27 kg pouch and is designed to produce one 2.5 US gallon / approximately 9.46 litre stock concentrate. Once prepared, the concentrates can be accurately measured into the main nutrient reservoir according to Athena's Pro Line feed programme and required target EC.

The Athena Pro Line uses a simple two-part feeding strategy. Pro Core provides the constant calcium, nitrogen and micronutrient foundation, while the second nutrient component changes according to the plant's stage of development.

Athena Pro Core

Athena Pro Core is the dual-phase foundation of the Pro Line. It provides calcium, nitrogen and essential micronutrients and is used alongside either Pro Grow or Pro Bloom depending on the growth stage.

Athena Pro Grow

Athena Pro Grow 2-8-20 is the vegetative component of the system. It combines with Pro Core during vegetative growth to provide the stage-specific mineral nutrition required for healthy structural and foliar development.

Athena Pro Bloom

Athena Pro Bloom 0-12-24 is the flowering component of the system. It replaces Pro Grow during the reproductive phase and is combined with Pro Core to provide the appropriate flowering and fruiting nutrient profile.

How to Mix the Athena Pro 2.5 Gallon Concentrates

Athena provides a specific preparation procedure for the 2.5 gallon Pro Mix Kit. Each complete 5 lb pouch is used to produce one 2.5 US gallon stock concentrate.

1. Fill to the 2 gallon mark: Add RO or suitably filtered water to the designated concentrate bottle until it reaches the 2 US gallon mark.
2. Add the full pouch: Slowly add one complete 5 lb pouch of the corresponding Pro Line fertiliser.
3. Shake thoroughly: Secure the cap and mix until all dry material has dissolved and no clumps remain.
4. Top up to 2.5 gallons: Add additional water until the total finished concentrate reaches the 2.5 US gallon fill mark.
5. Mix again: Shake thoroughly for approximately 1–2 minutes to ensure a uniform concentrate.
6. Repeat: Follow the same procedure separately for Pro Core, Pro Grow and Pro Bloom.

Important: The finished volume should be 2.5 US gallons / approximately 9.46 litres. Do not simply add 9.46 litres of water to the dry nutrient. Add water until the nutrient and water together reach the final 2.5 gallon volume.

Using the Prepared Concentrates

Once prepared, the Pro Line concentrates are measured into a working reservoir or irrigation tank according to Athena's current Pro Line dosage reference and required target EC.

1. Select either Pro Grow or Pro Bloom depending on the current growth phase.
2. Use the dispensing spigot to measure the required amount into an appropriate dosing vessel.
3. Add the measured nutrient concentrate to the main reservoir containing water.
4. Measure the required Pro Core concentrate separately.
5. Add Pro Core to complete the two-part nutrient solution.
6. Mix the reservoir thoroughly.
7. Check final EC and pH before irrigation.

Important Concentrate Mixing Rules

• Never feed the prepared stock concentrates directly to plants.
• Keep Pro Core, Pro Grow and Pro Bloom concentrates separate.
• Do not combine the concentrated nutrient solutions together before dilution.
• Add each concentrate separately to a reservoir containing water.
• Use the designated bottle for each nutrient component.
• Follow Athena's current dosage reference when selecting the required EC.
• Check final reservoir EC after all nutrient components have been added.
• Check and adjust pH after the complete nutrient solution has been prepared.

How Much Nutrient Solution Can the Kit Make?

Athena states that, when used at approximately 3.0 EC, the 2.5 Gallon Pro Mix Kit provides approximately enough concentrate for:

• 500 US gallons of mixed nutrient solution from the Core concentrate
• 300 US gallons of mixed nutrient solution from the Grow / Bloom concentrates

Actual consumption will vary according to target EC, feed programme, crop requirements and water quality.

Precision Dispensing Spigots

Each of the three concentrate bottles includes a dispensing spigot. This allows the prepared Core, Grow and Bloom concentrates to be dispensed directly into a measuring vessel without repeatedly lifting or pouring from the larger container.

The dispensing system helps create a cleaner and more repeatable mixing workflow, particularly where nutrient concentrates are prepared and dosed frequently.
