Automatic watering for potted plants in a garden tray

The AutoPot easy2GO Kit turns a suitable flat-bottomed garden tray into a gravity-fed watering system. Connect the kit to a separate reservoir, position the valve in the tray and place potted plants around it. The AQUAvalve regulates the supply of water as plants use it, without a pump, timer or electrical connection.

Choose the version that matches the kit and pipework required: the 6mm kit uses the original AQUAvalve, while the 9mm kit uses AQUAvalve5. Pipework and fittings for the two versions differ.

Choose your easy2GO Kit

• 6mm – Original AQUAvalve: The earlier kit version with a 6mm supply pipe and matching fittings. Suitable when maintaining a 6mm AutoPot setup.
• 9mm – AQUAvalve5: The current kit version with AQUAvalve5, 9mm supply pipe and matching fittings. Suitable for a new 9mm setup or a compatible 9mm AutoPot installation.

What's in the 9mm AQUAvalve5 kit?

• 1 × AQUAvalve5 and 1 × AQUAvalve Cover
• 1 × circular spirit level
• 1 × 16mm-to-9mm click-fit adapter and filter
• 1 × 9mm golf filter and 1 × 9mm top-hat grommet
• 1 × 9mm tee connector and 1 × 9mm inline tap
• 1.5 metres of 9mm pipe

The earlier 6mm kit has 6mm-specific components. Check the selected kit's packaging for its exact contents before ordering replacement fittings.

What else is needed?

A reservoir, flat-bottomed garden tray and suitable potted plants are required separately. AutoPot recommends a tray at least 30mm deep on a firm, level surface. Pots should have drainage holes; pots placed directly in the tray should have a capacity of at least 8 litres. Position the easy2GO valve directly on the tray floor, clear of gravel and matting.

Set-up overview

1. Connect the chosen kit to a suitable reservoir using its matching pipework and fittings.
2. Place the valve and cover directly on the floor of a flat-bottomed tray.
3. Check that the tray is level and position the potted plants around the valve.
4. Fill the reservoir, open the supply and check the connections and valve operation.
