Athena Proper – flowering nutrient supplement coming soon to the UK, availability and price to be confirmed

What is Athena Proper?

Athena Proper is a liquid flowering-stage nutrient supplement in Athena's Modified range. Intended for professional hydroponic and controlled-environment growing, it combines phosphorus, potassium, humic and fulvic acids and selected micronutrients to help align the feeding programme with the changing needs of legal flowering and fruiting crops.

The manufacturer's approach differs from simply adding more nutrients: Proper is used alongside adjusted amounts of Athena Pro Line or Blended Line base fertilisers, allowing the nutrient balance to be managed as flowering progresses.

Key features

  • Targeted phosphorus and potassium nutrition for flowering-stage plants.
  • Humic and fulvic acids to complement the nutrient programme.
  • Selected micronutrients for a balanced feed.
  • Designed for use in hydroponic irrigation and fertigation systems.
  • Compatible with Athena Pro Line and Athena Blended Line feeding programmes.
  • Liquid formula used within Athena's revised Modified feeding schedules, not as a standalone base fertiliser.

How to use Athena Proper

Athena Pro Line: The manufacturer's guidance is 5–9 ml per US gallon of irrigation solution (approximately 13–24 ml per 10 litres), beginning in flowering week 4.

Athena Blended Line: The manufacturer's guidance is 3–8 ml per US gallon (approximately 8–21 ml per 10 litres), beginning in flowering week 3.

Use the latest Athena feeding schedules for exact week-by-week amounts and accompanying changes to the base nutrients. Add Proper to water first, mix thoroughly and then add each remaining nutrient separately. Do not combine nutrient concentrates directly. Monitor nutrient solution EC and pH and follow the product label once the UK-supplied version becomes available.

Athena Proper – frequently asked questions

Can I buy Athena Proper in the UK from SteelRoots?

Not at present. SteelRoots has not confirmed a UK launch date or received saleable UK stock. Orders and pre-orders are not being taken.

Is Athena Proper compatible with Pro Line and Blended Line?

Yes. Athena publishes separate Modified feeding programmes for both ranges. Always follow the schedule matching the base nutrient range in use.

Does Proper replace Athena Pro Bloom or Blended Bloom?

It is not a direct one-for-one replacement. Athena's Modified schedules adjust the base nutrient doses when Proper is introduced, so the full schedule must be followed rather than simply adding Proper to an existing feed.

What sizes and prices will be available in the UK?

UK packaging options and retail prices have not been finalised. Athena lists several international sizes, but these should not be taken as a confirmation of SteelRoots stock or pricing.

When will Athena Proper be released in the UK?

There is currently no confirmed UK release date. SteelRoots will update this information when the manufacturer or UK distributor provides verified details.

Information is based on the current manufacturer's product description and is subject to change. Sale and use of the product will be subject to the final UK-supplied label and applicable UK requirements. For lawful horticultural uses only.
